Leighton Farm

"Making the most of each Thoroughbred."

Rescue

In November 2007, Leighton Farm became actively involved in the transitioning, placement and rescue of retiring Thoroughbred racehorses.  This program quickly grew to mammoth proportions as did the cost of supporting it.  This work is so important that we decided to create a 501(c)(3) non profit to find a way to continue.  In March 2009, Thoroughbred Placement and Rescue, Inc. was formally created as the 501(c)(3) non profit.

Leighton Farm still finances most of the cost of this program, but our hope is that it will one day pay for itself.  Donations are tax deductible and the only way this work can continue.
