"Roadie"

This is Open Road a three year old gelding by Ops Smile and out of Fast Femme.

He is retiring from racing because although he does have some talent, it's not enough to pay his way.

Roadie is completely sound and has no vices.

He is 15.3 hands and growing.

This boy has show horse written all over him.  He is easy to handle and a good mover.

Video is coming.

His price is $3,500 and he's located at Leighton Farm in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.

"Patina"

Perfectly beautiful, gentle, sweet temperament and athletic build.  This is Patina, registered name Midnight Swim.  She is by Black Tie Affair and out of Pleasant Island.

Patina is three years old and has no vices.

She is perfectly sound.

This girl is a very nice mover.  She just came off the track and is handling life on the farm like a gal with class would.

She's loving it!

Patina has great potential to make an eventer, jumper or hunter.

She is 15.3 hands.

Patina is located at Leighton Farm in Upper Marlboro, Maryland and her price is $3,500.

"Scooter"

I've known Scooter for quite a while now and I have a special bond with him.  In fact, everyone who comes in contact with him develops this connection with him.  He is a very special horse.

He has his own journal here on my website, I called him LG, but he outgrew that name.

As time goes on he shows his incredible potential.  At this point he's a gorgeous, knee snapping, hunter jumper.  When I  say this boy can jump, it's a bit of an understatement.

He's a fabulous mover with quite a bit of overstep at the walk and almost unreal flat kneed trot and that sought after uphill canter -- naturally.

Scooter has the you show me and I'll do attitude.  He's jumping beautifully, no rushing.

He stands, ties, self loads and is sound with no vices.  Barefoot with super feet and up to date on everything.

He's done several 8 mile trail rides and goes with or without company.  He's the same horse at home or wherever you go together.

He is currently showing 2 ft. and is consistently in the ribbons

and schooling 2'9" in the ring with easy.

Link to video of Scooter.

Scooter has been in training less than a year and will continue to excel with an intermediate to advanced rider.  We believe he can do anything.  He has so much talent.

He is 16 hands and 5 years old.

Scooter is offered at $ 11,000 and he is located Cremona Farms in Mechanicsville, Maryland.

"Schroeder"

Meet Schroeder, registered name Dean's Fighter.  Not the right name for this guy.  He's safe and nice.

Schroeder has no vices and is completely sound.

He is 6 years old.

Schroeder is 16.3 hands and has good bone.

He is very schooled in his flatwork, he even does his flying lead changes.

He has started jumping and will excel with his next human.

Schroeder is a very classy mover.

Schroeder is a steal at $3,500 and he's located

in Lexington, Virginia.

"Case"

Her registered name is Case's Surprise and she is an 8 year old thoroughbred mare.  She is by In Case.

Case had a not so illustrious racing career, but retired completely sound.  She is 16.3 hands and has no vices or soundness issues.

This mare has a lovely temperament, she is eager to please.  Her owner is riding her and comments she improves each time she gets on her.

Her owner really enjoys riding her, but finances and equine obligations have prompted her to sell this wonderful mare.

Click here to see her ridden.

At any rate a partner and the owner got Case in the spring of her 6th year and bred her to an Irish Draught Stallion. We both have ID crossbreds already and love them. She gave us a stunning colt last spring.

This is her baby.

As a yearling Case won the yearling show in Timonium, obviously a Maryland-bred.

Case is beautiful and filled with potential.  She's got endless possibilities.

A fantastic home is a must.

Her price is $3,500 and she is located in Clarksburg, Maryland.

"Stitch"

Outstanding movement in a fancy grey wrapper.  Oh, his temperament is kind and cooperative.

This guy also stands 17 hands, what more could you want?

Stitch has already been let down and is ready to start his new career.

No vices and completely sound too.

His registered name is Prince Stitch Away and he is by Skip Away.  Stitch is out of Hail the Princess.

 Stitch is 5 years old.

Click here to see his fantastic movement.

He could be anything you want, with all this going for him.

Stitch is offered at $5,000 and his location is Royal Wux Farm in Chestertown, Maryland.

For more information, please contact me.

"Dane"

Dane is a stunning 18 hand thoroughbred gelding.

He is a gentle giant with great potential for any discipline.

Dane has no vices and is completely sound.

He has shown in hunter flat classes.

He likes to jump but also has a great dressage presence.

He is easy to ride.

Dane is a great shipper, clips and behaves like a gentlemen.

Dane is offered at $7,500 and he is located London, Ohio.

"Wings"

This is Purple Wings, a registered thoroughbred gelding.  I call him Purple Nurple.  I can't tell you why, but he likes it and for some reason I like to call him that.  I should call him Wings because he is so light on his feet.

He's a very nice mover.  If he's not a ten, he's close to it.  Purple knows how to longe correctly and I've been riding him about the farm a lot.  He's taking to it with intelligence and relaxation.  Purple is fun to ride.

I'm also doing ring work, and he goes on the bit nicely when asked.  He also has three fantastic gaits.  He's about a month away from competing in dressage.

I've introduced trotting poles and he is not impressed, he just trots over them.  He's started jump training and shows promise.  He's already jumped logs on the trail.

I clipped his ears and muzzle with little problem.  He was very good.  Purple is also a good shipper, cross ties and loves to be groomed.

He is by Purple Passion and out of the Winged T mare, Celestial Wings.

Purple is 15.2 hands, but very big.  I am 5'6" and do not overpower his stunning presence.

He is 6 years old and has no vices or soundness issues.

Click here to see me ride him.

This is a really nice horse and we're evaluating him to determine his price.

I like riding him a lot and I think he has real potential.

He is offered at $ 3,500 and is located at Leighton Farm in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.

"Mary"

Mother Mary C, what a horrible name for such a beautiful girl.  Mary is a four year old thoroughbred filly, by Sweetsouthernsaint and out of Blushing Sword who is by Sword Dance and Irish horse.

She stands 16.1 hands and has already been let down.  I've been riding her less than a month and I'll let the pictures tell the story.

While I don't mind if she hangs around and I get to ride her more, I know I have to sell her to make room for another horse in need.

No vices and she clips, ships and cross ties.  Never a problem.

Mary is smart and a quick study.  I've not had any trouble communicating what I want to her.  She's still very green.  Don't be deceived by the pictures, she needs lots of cross country and foundation work to strengthen her top line.

My work so far just shows how uncomplicated and fearless she is.

Mary has just started fences, but she shows potential.

She didn't blink at the bank, up or down.

She willingly jumps the ditch.

Click here for video clips of her longeing.

Mary is offered at the price of $ 2,500 and her location is Leighton Farm in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.

For more information, please contact me.

"Princess"

This is Princess Warlock.  She is a 5 year old mare who has been lightly raced by me.  JK and I also broke her.

Princess is by Deputy Warlock and out of OhThereYouAre.

I broke this girl and  trained her to race.  She is smart, sound and athletic.  She's tries, but is not much of a racehorse.

The owners are short on cash and a decision has been made to offer her for sale.

Princess is 15.3 hands and a very nice mover.

Click here to see her movement.

With her looks and movement she'd definitely make a hunter.

With her intelligence and athletic ability, she'd certainly excel as an eventer.

Princess retired from racing completely sound on July 15, 2008.  She just isn't able to pay her way as a racehorse.

This picture was taken of her being ridden on July 18, 2008, at the farm.  It was her first ride since she ran.  This speaks to her fantastic temperament.

Princess is offered at $2,500 and her location is Leighton Farm in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.

For more information, please contact me.

"Summer"

Here is a Super Pony!  She is the mount for anyone looking to shine in the show ring.

This is a cute, nice mover.

This pony knows her job and loves to go to work.  She's a point and jump girl.  A safe and honest ride to every jump.

Cross country - water, ditches, logs - no problem.

Summer has tons of show mileage.  She's a Cadillac in the ring.

This pony takes up leg and is a confidence builder.

She trail rides alone and in company.

Summer can even be ridden in a halter, bareback.

This girl has no vices, great feet and has always been sound.

She's up to date on all shots, coggins, feet and teeth.

Summer stands 14.1 hands and is 15 years old.

She is a Morgan/Arabian, dark bay with dapples.

Her price is $4,900 and she's located at Holly Point Equestrian Center in Leonardtown, Maryland.   For more information, please contact me.

"Circe"

Refined elegance is how I would describe this girl.  She is a Thoroughbred/Oldenburg cross.  Circe is 4 years old and 15 hands.  She has no vices and is sound.

Her movement is outstanding, especially if considering the hunter shows. Although her breeding screams eventing.

Click here to see a video clip of her being ridden.

Circe was bred by a prominent horseman in our community and has very strong jumping lines.

At any rate this girl has enough raw talent for any job.  She is well broke and ready to continue on to a specific discipline.

Circe's mother, Arielle retired from eventing as a grade 2 eventer  if Judy had stuck it out another year or so she'd have made grade 1 just on her past xc performance. She was AHSA Zone 3 Horse of the Year Training level champion in 1989 and HOTY preliminary champ in 1991. She was 5th in her first 3-day, then still called preliminary, at Essex in 1991, completed Radnor Preliminary 3DE in 1992, and was on the winning Prelim team at the Chronicle of the Horse East Adult Team Champs in 1993 . Scads of wins at training and prelim from Pennsylvania to North Carolina in the late 80s and early 90s. Was 3rd in her only intermediate horse trials at Middleburg.

Circe's papa, Bacchanal, is by the TB Innkeeper (Secretariat/Mr. Prospector/Northern Dancer) out of a half-tb mare, Springer, whose sire was San Diego (Oldenburg) and dam was a tb known as Up and Coming who was junior hunter champion in MD and VA for several years. Her registered name is unknown, as are her whereabouts, unfortunately. Springer had 3 babies for me, Bacchanal was her first. So there's a lot of jumping in Ms. C's history, although Springer and Bacchanal never showed.

Circe is offered at $3,500 and located in Upper Marlboro, MD, at Leighton Farm.  For more information, contact me.

"Aries"

Meet "A Reason To Believe".  She is a thoroughbred/ warmblood cross.

If you're looking for something to show right now, she's your girl.  Aries has plenty of show miles and loves the hunter ring.

She's schooled 3 feet at home and successfully competed at 2' 3".

This girl trail rides alone or in company.  She'll make a great first horse for someone because she is easy to ride and trustworthy.

Aries has no vices and is completely sound.

She is wonderful to work with and stands for the vet and blacksmith without incident.

As an extra bonus she's an easy keeper.

Aries stands a substantial 15.3 hands and is 10 years old.

She is a very easy going and forward mover.

Click here for a short video of her taking a jump.

Her price is $5,000, but the most important factor in negotiating is finding her the perfect home.

She is located in Charlotte Hall, Maryland.

For more information, please contact me.

"D. A."

Double Ask is a 4 year old thoroughbred gelding who has raced only four times on the flat and had 3 or 4 starts at point to point.  He jumps 3' consistently and easily.  He has solid w/t/c gaits.

D. A. is a horse that anyone can ride.  He's a packer, the type of reliable mount that everyone loves.  As an extra added bonus, he's a fabulous mover.

Click here to see him ridden.

D. A. is by Diligence and out of Time Warp.

D. A. does everything willingly  Riding, shipping, clipping - no problem.

D. A. is located in Berryville, Virginia and is offered for sale at $15,000.  For more information, please contact me.

"Ruby"

Shining Ruby, beautiful girl.  She is a registered thoroughbred filly who stands 16.1 hands tall.  She was broke to race but never started.  Instead she had been ridden by a 13 year old girl all winter.

This is a very athletic girl with potential to spare.  She is extremely friendly and is looking for someone to run to when they call her in from the field.  She is always happy to hear her human wants her.

Ruby stands for the blacksmith, trailers easily and does anything asked of her willingly.  She loves attention and treats.

Ruby never gets tired of being groomed.  She's been raised around lots of animals and has even been seen with a chicken sitting happily on her back while she grazed.

She has no vices and has never had an injury.

Ruby can be turned out in a mixed herd without a problem and accepts new surroundings easily.

Ruby is 4 years old and her sire is Gneiss and her dam is Light n' Classy.

Ruby is offered at $3,000 and she is located at Double D Racing in Ellicott City, Maryland.

"Buckles"

Here's a cutie pie for you.

His name is Buckles and he's an unbroke, 5 year old gelding.

He is sound and has no vices.

Buckles is a nice mover with a lovely temperament.

His owners were taken advantage of.

They sent him out to be broke and paid for it, but they found out that he hadn't been worked with at all.

He sports a very athletic build.  Hmmm, he says jumping talent to me.

Buckles is 14.1 hands.

He is offered at $2,500 and is located at Double D Racing in Ellicott City, Maryland.

A great home is an absolute must!

For more information, please contact me.

"Rowdy"

Willing, dependable and smart.  I can't say enough good things about this guy.  I also can't say anything bad about him.

Rowdy is a 15.3 hand thoroughbred gelding.  He is unraced and by Whiteman's Ferry.

He is super quiet and agreeable in the ring and hacking out.  Rowdy is going w/t/c in the ring.  He carries himself consistently in a frame.

He moves well enough to do the local hunters and low level dressage/eventing.  This is the horse to have fun with.

Rowdy is located at Moonrising Farm in Boyds, Maryland.

DVD available upon request.

The trainer is asking $4,500 for him, but the price will increase as his experience increases.

"Daneea"

Daneea is an 8 year old thoroughbred mare.  She stands 16.1 hands tall.  Her show name is Judge Me Pretty and that's certainly going to happen.  She's not just a pretty horse though, she's talented too.

She is not spooky or silly, but is sensitive.  This girl requires an experienced rider.

She has excellent ground manners and no vices.

Click here to see photos of her first event!

It was at Maryland Horse Trials and she jumped clean in both Show Jumping and Cross Country.

Daneea has made it quite clear that she is a jumper!  She is solid over 3'3" courses and is schooling over 3'9" effortlessly.  She has the ability to go higher.

Daneea was the hopeful jumper champion at her first show ever, at the beginning of this show season.

She is located at Moonrising Farm in Boyds, Maryland.

DVD available upon request.

The price is $10,500 at this time.  She is showing again this month so her price will increase as she gets more show mileage under her belt.
